is it possible to make an infantry unit able to deploy so it becomes cloaked? you know, the same way that the underwater units are cloaked so that you can still see them but the enemy can't.

Afraid not, an InfantryType must be cloaked in all states, deployed or not :(

an idea though would be to place like a Camo net on the shp so that it looks like part of the ground when deployed, but place in a small pert of remap that is hardly noticable.

well you can see Mirage tanks when theyre moving, but not when they stop so how about:
but then again youd have to figure out what to disguise it as..
Maybe create a new terrain type that looks like grass?
hmm..maybe not.. just a thought..

I have tested the DisguiseWhenStill in a unit and it didnt work. I also tried to make the default infantry when MakeUp kit isnt used the Tree01, but my unit make itself invisible instead of disguing like a tree, and the AI detects it. I think the mirage tank is the only unit who can disguise like a tree.

make it deploy into a tree and give it a threat value of 0 or the threat value of a bus so they don't shoot it.

that's an idea, is it possible to make it deploy into a bus/other civilian vehicle? or perhaps i could make it deploy into a civilian unit. that would basically be like the spy's makeupkit weapon.

Or make it a civilizan unit. One day, you're just walkign along and then, suddenly, civilians begins exploding themselfs against your tanks and trucks jsut seem to appear out from behind buildings and kill you. Meet my Iraqi side:). Explodign vehicles and radiation weaponry.

no, that's not what i'm going to do. no offense, it is a great idea but i was really hoping that i could make a unit i already added in cloak or at least hide so he could infiltrate bases better. and i'm pretty sure that the deploying into a vehicle thing is impossible unless the vehicle was in shp format and could be built as an infantry unit. even then, i'm still unsure of how to make that happen. what about this: all the deploying units in the game have a deploying animation, so what if i made an animation of the unit turning into a vehicle? that could work.

Here's an idea, use Deezire's Mechanic tutorial to figure out how to make a infantry taht is a vehicel type. That might work. Then again, probably not. Worth a try though.
