View Full Version : Iraq's Navy (New CNC Fallout screenshots!)

Hey Guys,
had less time to work on the mod due to university starting, however over the past few days I have been able to sit down with the mod.
I have fully implemented the naval code and using a land/water locomotor for my construction vehicles, I can now build naval yards!

The big boats are patrol boats, moderately armoured and packing a 30mm Cannon, while no match for the bigger US and Aussie boats 1 on 1, are cheap and in numbers can dominate waterways.
The smaller boats are demo boats, steel dinghys packed with explosives, these boats ram enemy ships and explode on impact, causing considerable damage, or even sinking ships.
Also, the skin for the Naval Yard isn't completed yet, I know it doesn't look as good as it should.

sweet, cant wait to c this mod as i would love to be able to use naval units

i take it u wont be releasing the naval code until the mods been released?

nm, I meant that if he didn't make a second construction thing then he would have to take out a building..

I can make trucks drive in water I just need to learn how to build over water?

I replaced the demo trap for the GLA with the Iraqi Naval Yard, due to:
1) It won't effect the structure of the game
(it wont remove production structures)
2) It raises no scaffolding (scaffolding in water lol)
I made the building only buildable in water, and copied most of the code from the war factory in FactionBuilding.ini, however made the building only buildable in water. The code will become open source after the mod is released.
Currently I am using the one construction vehicle for every team, the hover construction vehicle:

However when beta comes all teams will have different construction vehicles, but all will be able to build in water.

Yeah I meant it wouldn't make sense, but he answered my question already
