The way a true howitzer works it doesnt need AP shells and wouldn't use AP shells, A howitzer fires at angles greater than 55 degrees Luanching the shells high into the air and bringing it down up to several miles away on top of the enemy with huge amounts of Kinetic and explosive force, So it should be powerful as hell, long ranged, slightly inaccurate (to simulate the wind moving the shell even though a trained artillery squad can compensate for all of that) and have a long reloading time

An 88mm Mortar round is infantry based artillery Its far to small a weapon for a tank to carry, your better off just making a weaker of your H.A.t. idea and if you ignore all this take one piece of advice and 88mm mortar round is much MUCH smaller than the standard howitzer artillery so the H.A.T. should be more powerful
