You need to edit the shortcut command sets at the bottom of commandset.ini to change the buttons on the side of the screen. Make sure any special weapon buttons placed here have the Super_Weapon_from_Command_Center in their command tag in commandbutton.ini. 5 is the max number for the US and China and 3 is max for GLA. You can give more to the GLA by editing GenPowersShortcutBarGLA.wnd. It's in window.big. You can't give more than 5 button however.
