This is the story of my modification for Yuri’s Revenge, Mounting Tensions. The goal of this mod is to make 10 individual armies, instead of 3 sides of countries with similar units. The story is only a rough outline, as I wrote it at 3:00 in the morning. However, this is the only thing I can do for now as my comp that had all the files, crashed. My cousin has the latest version of my beta, so I need to collect it from him. You comments are welcome (It actually is the purpose of this thread).

The war against Yuri is still flourishing. Casualties among the Allied nations are staggering. To minimize more casualties and to suppress the growing public concern, the Allies have made a new agreement. This agreement, The Stove-Branch Agreement, enables the Allies to use previously banned weaponry to bring down Yuri. The agreement also officially splits the Allied nations, authorizing each nation to explore and employ new tactics and technologies. “This,” says President Dugan, “will, hopefully, bring in a new light to the dark realm of death that has plagued the Allied forces.” Will this new tactic ensure the Allies success?

On the other side, the Soviet Alliance is receiving the side effects of oppression. The civilians, as with the Allies, are becoming more aggressive against the government to stop the Yuri menace. Now it has become so bad that riots are developing all across the Soviet front. Two Soviet allies, Cuba and Iraq, have even revolted and formed their own armies. In reaction, Mother Russia cut off all production of the new weapons to all countries. This left all of the countries with less effective and outdated weapons, which outraged many civilians. New propaganda has been spread that opposing nations in the Soviet Alliance have been secretly working with the Allies and Yuri. Nationalism and individual patriotism is spreading like wildfire through the many communities of peasants. Is this the downfall of the Communist era?

Yuri is growing stronger by the minute. He has widely expanded his genetic mutation abilities to include cybernetics. Yuri’s engineers have even developed a weapon to initiate Spontaneous Human Combustion. The power of the mind has also expanded, enabling even more gruesome weapons to be made... I love Yuri! Yuri is my leader!

Is this truly the end of our own free will... FOR YURI!

Tensions are mounting, and egos are building. Who will survive now?
