Sephectja: It means if you made new game modes for your mod, and added them to a particular map's Gamemode= list, that the FA2 editor will remove those modes from that list, since Matze programmed the editor to only write the possible modes he listed and to delete anything he didn't list. The editor doesn't check mpmodesmd.ini at all.
It's simple enough to try. Add something to the gamemode list, open and save the map in FA2, and the stuff you added will be gone.
