honestly its hard to find good renegade support nowadays... I"m learning some Renegade modding, but you probably know more than I, as far as I know bots are programed into the maps, and so you would have to edit/make a new map and add bots... (I suggest asking somwhere else first before editing the maps without a backup)
I'm pretty sure you can't make the turret spin all the way, because of the way renegade was set up... and the vehicle controls, it may be possible, but I don't know how.
Can't help you with homing, there may be a way, but I don't know it.
I suggest going to a renegade mod's site, and try and find links/forums to help you, I know I will when I start trying to edit again (working on TS and Gen at the moment)
