The way I normally do it is to load up the model in RenX, making sure it is the right scale and everything, and then checking the XYZ co-ordinates which are shown somewhere along the bottom bar I believe. (eg. move your mouse to the egde of the model, keeping it on one of the main axis so you should get something like X:0.00, Y:19.15, Z:0.00, and then you use 20 as your radius. You can also use that to find the object creation co-ordinates needed for barracks, war-factories, etc.
