This is my first attempt at editing the map.ini for a map in generals so I really have little clue as to what I'm doing but this is what I tried...

MultiplayerSettings
UseShroud = yes

End

GameData
UnlookPersistDuration = 9999999999
End

I put the above in a file called "map.ini" in the folder with my map in it and loaded up a skirmish game to test it out. ok well the game never actually loaded it was stuck on the loading screen. Could anyone point me towards some info on map.ini editing for multiplayer maps?
