Open the Generals Archives in the CD and start replacing files of your game's critical files one by one. Run the world builder after each try. Start with the excutable and library, then make your way to the Data files.
Be advised, it takes a lot of sedulity. Should you lack the pre-requisites, re-install the game and make the life a whole lot easier for yourself - for a period of time.
