This is due to the fact that if a nuke was that size, it would for one be like 10gt's which is like 10k times the most powerful nuke we have on earth. thus the initial detonation would for one: Take out the entire asia, for two: create a hole deep enough to reach the middle of the earth and wide enough to let out all the magma down there in one gigantic volcano that would kill most of the earths population. and for 3: the toxic fumes emitted from it would kill the rest of the humans alive. Finally, the heat from the blast would melt the polar icecaps and cause a flood like that of noahs ark sending the world into a very long ice age thus ALL life on earth (including archaebacteria) would be decimated with no probability of reproducing thus ending life itself.

? and i may have over-exaggerated on some of it :P but still... the consequences would be defastating
