Good that youre trying keep it up!
However.....
You can tell it is a first model. You need to make the model more detailed, remember you have 400-600 polys to work with here.
The skin, well, sux - sorry but if you are using RenX's Material Editor, don't as it blows.
You should be spending twice as much time on the skin as the model itself at least.
Proclone has written a great tutorial on creating good looking skins at www.cnc-sector.com but feel free to ask for any help from me if you need it.
Finally, if you don't have Photoshop, GET IT as it is essential to make decent skins (PSP will also do the job)
Overall though, a good first attempt! You will be creating good loking models in no time!
