(T = Red Alert 3 release date.)
T-60 (days) : Fans are eagerly awaiting the new game. The "official" forum is lousy with fanboys. Fansites are slathering hype and praise.
T-30 : Anticipation mounts. Fansites ratchet up the slather.
RELEASE DATE: The community goes crazy.
T+1 : Fans are either in the process of buying the game, looking forward to buying the game, or bragging to other fans that they've bought the game. There are a few that are actually playing it, but we're not hearing from them. Fansites are, as you would expect, slathering prodigiously.
T+5 : Just like T+1, but there are a few voices of dissent... which are promptly flamed into submission by fanboys and fansite staff.
T+10 : The old school C&C community is collectively saying, wtf? But the fansites slather like it's alright. A slight bit of hysteria can be noted creeping into fanboy's forum posts, because in their hearts they know the jig is up.
T+30: Generals modders are busy porting their mods over to RA3, which has turned out to be the game's main value.
