This should help clear a few things up for people who don't know what thay are.

Fog of War - A slightly transparent fog which dissables the user to see enemy units in that area, unlike shroud, it will regenerate when a unit leves the area.

Shroud - A black covering on the map. When a unit moves towards it, it is removed from the map and the terain becomes visible.
