Christian: Bible says god created the animals. It does not say he created baby-animals and eggs. Ergo, you can be pretty sure god created a few chickens first, and they laid eggs, not the other way round.
Evolutionary: Even simpler. One day there was a pre-chicken who's genetic structure was almost identical to the "real" chickens we have. It laid an egg, evolution kicked in, and in that egg the first ever "real" chicken started to grow. The egg was first.

If Christians just once started to use their heads instead of letting others think for them...
