I was at generalsfiles yesterday and there was a mod by a couple Russian guys called Contra.
They added in a ton of new features and many other things, but this mod rivals even Progen!
Really slick ideas done very well.
Three new generals replace the vanilla generals:
U.S. cybernetics general
Chinese fire general
GLA assault general.
Skirmish scripts are included for all the generals.
You have to recieve promotions to build more advanced tech units and structures (don't need points though) along with the regular promotion grants.
The U.S. cybernetics general can add drones to anything, even people and structres. :lol: No piloted vehicles so you get the Gardian Drone (Small tank cannon with flashgbang ) Sentry Drone, Medic Drone, Repair Drone, Leech drone (cloaked and disables stuff like a hacker. Cool idea and implementation) Crusader and Avenger.
New upgrade drones include the Stinger Drone (shoots anti air missles) and Suicide Drone. You can add any drone to anything.
The Flame general has all flame based weapons:
-The Battlemaster shoot rounds with that make small fires. (Strong but poor armor).
- Red Guard shoot flame grenades.
-Inferno cannons are high powered and can shoot a flame wall.
-Dragon tanks use new model and can use their flame wall weapon like a regualr weapon. (You don't have to click a spot, they attack normally. Great idea)
-The Overlord gets twin massive flame cannons and can shoot streams, wall, a cannon flame rounds. Very powerful, but slow and expensive.
-Napalm artillery
-Cannon rounds can get a range increase.
I haven't tried the new GLA general yet, but all the other normal ones have had extensive changes.
I highly recomend this mod.
