he currently is doing so in the dark(from last i heard)
he's just trying to keep it quite because he hates everyone bugging him to do stuff.
last thing you should do is ask him:
a, what he's doing to the patch
b, if he can do something to the patch
c, when the next patch (1.07) will be released.
i'm pretty sure bugs are allowed to be talked about.
