Well really to me, only the European Oil Crisis sounds interesting to me, the others are really abit weird..
You may want to consider making a new world, this one has been just about covered with all of its conflicts and future conflicts.. You could probably get alot further with a world that you created. There are tons of things that can be made, changed, etc, because you have no real limitations to what your world has..
Of course, if you choose that route, its practically a sandbox after that.
