Hello, I really enjoy playing G-ZH and it was only recently that I learned that modding the game is actually possible.

I've downloaded some other peoples' mods and now would like to try it for myself.

My favorite units in G-ZH are the paladin tank and pathfinder (with KILL_PILOT mod of course).

For my first comprehensive mod I want to:

1) Create a Boss Faction. (Thus far this is my biggest challenge)
2) Make my paladin tank main guns more powerful + increase the range.
3) Make my paladin tank able to cross water and SLOWLY climb cliffs.
4) Make my pathfinders able to climb cliffs.
5) Make very fast King Raptors that carry a larger weapon load.
6) Make troop crawlers that can cross water
7) I have plenty of other ideas very similiar to these.

After downloading another person's mod I opened it up to see how it works. The above mods are found in Weapon.ini and Locomotor.ini files. Making changes to these files is easy.

Here's what I am doing:

Using the BigPOP program I do the following to change items:
A) Open the original INIZH file.
B) Resave that file as NewBoss.BIG file in a new folder named "NewBoss" I archive this folder named at My Documents\C&C Generals Zero Hour Data) along with all the other mods.
C) I extract the locomotor and weapon ini files with BigPOP
D) I extract the BossGeneral ini file inside the Object folder with BigPOP.
E) Using a text editor I change the locomotor, weapon and BossGeneral .ini files.
F) Using BigPOP I insert these files back into the ????.BIG file
G) I copy the contents of the NewBoss folder to the Data\INI folder.
H) I copy the NewBoss.BIG file and paste it where the original INIZH file came from (Program Files\EA Games|G-ZH\). I also leave the original INIZH where its at.
I) Lastly, I open up the properties dialog box of G-ZH and add the following text to the end of address: '|space|-mod NewBoss.big'

When I go to play the game the Boss faction is not even available.
What am I doing wrong? Would appreciate any advice and remember that I am new to this.
