Default Help with 3DSM5/GMAX

I need help with 2 things. Here are the 2 questions I need answered. I would like some sort of instructions( what I click on to get it done) to solve my questions.

1. How do I remove a material from an object?
2. How do I Link 2 objects together where if one rotates the other one will too?

1 replace the material with another 1 or delete the old material, im sure there is the UV map remover in RenX i think that might do the same thing.

2to link obkects together select for example the turret then select the icon on the top that looks like 2 boxes connected 2 a chain then press H and select the mesh u want it 2 be attached to ie the barrel..

Hi, to get to know how to use Max better, you can visit sites like www.3dcafe.com for tutorials on how to do certain things. Look under free stuffs, tutorials and 3dsmax.
