Default Infantry animations and how to make them..?

how do I edit say the GLA Rebel's animations ? I know how to edit the model itself and the skin but what about the animations for ingame I know what files do what like the UIRGrd_RNA is for when the Rebel is moving. Now how do I edit these animations?

You don't. It is that simple.

You can make yor own animations if you are good with Gmax. But there is nothing that will import the premade animations into gmax right now.

It is hard enough to get new infantry into the game.

well I can do and get everything to work I just needed to know that thanks now how do you make new infantry animations in gmax just a short explanation is nessesary I can figure the rest out, also what do you do to save it into that seperate file like UIGURD_RUN.w3d for the running anim and stuff?

if you know how to use bones and aniamtions, then you are quite far ...

youll need to export the mesh as YourInfantry_SKN, your bones as YourInfantry_SKL and all aniamtiosn you made as YourInfantry_anim1 (or something).

make sure to use the W3D tool in "More" section, to define your bones and mesh

When you export the mesh, export as Hierarchial Model
When you export the bones, export as Skeleton
When you export the animations, export as Pure animation

well thanks :/ as I already know that much I am talking about in GMAX what do I do to "record" the animations?

You could try hitting the Animate button at the bottom of the screen. I would suggest reading the help files and tutorials for Gmax before you begin.

If you have never animated before you are in for a lot of work.

Really Goketa? That before or after I wrote tutorial on it? or do you mean just changing the code but not the art?
