If it didn't, why did WW think of it? I still maintina that it would be an interesting unit to have. It could perhaps even have a small cargo capacity for a few troops, perhaps with rappeling and propaganda? Would be great support, no? Would be perfect for taking down garrisoned buildings

uh WW didnt even make generals, EAP did. and while it would be an interesting unit to have, i just dont see any tactical use for it.

1) Troop support to increase ROF and health
2) Take out garrisoned buildings via the rappeling
3) Could be an interesting scout-type unit, given a large sight range(seeing that it's floating high above the ground)
4) Could cross difficult terrain with a small cargo of troops
Anything else?

some tactical disadvantages would be:
1) slow, easy to shoot down, useless to carry troops to back of enemy base
2) low armor, easy to shoot down anywhere
3) useless against any building garrisoned with units that can shoot down air units
although it would be a good scout, and good for getting rid of garrisoned buildings that arent full of rocket troopers, i think the disadvantages outweigh the advantages. good idea though.

Kirov didn't have low armor - memory serving, you needed quite some firepower to take one of those mothers down. But you're right - it would only be handy for the looks. Unless we can come up with some other use for it?

Well, the Germans experimented with some of that stuff in WW2. They developed a type of zepplin that had a self-sealing skin(something to do with multiple layers, fluids, liquid rubber, and other weird sh*t) that was immune to fighter guns, except the bigger cannons found on the bomber hunters. It was supposed to be used as a radar-bearing post for advanced recon, or crap like that...

redattack3 the disadvantages only provide a balance to the unit, if it only had advantages there would be no point in having it, it would take away balance from the sides, in my opinion sonix unit would be a unit that could be used in generals
