Default F***ing GmaX :@

Hey guys, i made 1 building in gmax and colored it for i could udnerstand what each thing do what (1 color for walls, 1 for groud, 1 for weapons and more) and saved it as .gmax format and now my RenX can't open it :@ and i tooked almsot 2 hours for made that thing and now RenX dno't let me open it cuz i wanna convert it to .w3d, so any ideas about whats the problem or some1 know a exporter for .w3d for gmax...

did you make it renx or gmax?

honestly only two hours lost is not something to whine about.

Try making your files in renx next time. It IS exporter for w3d.

My advice would be to do the model over in renx. you will learn more and probably make a better model the second time.

man i made it in gmax, but gmax and renx create files in .gmax extenstion, so i wanna know whats the probel of the renx don't open my gmax file because it can open others but not mine..., and about wiing about that time i lost, is the 2nd model the 1st was a weird vehicle and this is a building now and was hard get the ideas for how many animations and learn do all that stuff so i wanna WHY THE F*** that don't work...

RenX is a gamepack for GMax, with extra tools and stuff ....

RenX cant read .gmax made by Gmax, Gmax cant read .gmax made by Renx, simply cuz the drivers and exptentions are different

hey man, what you said have logical about the gmax odn't read renx but i made the building in GMAX NOT in RENX so the RENX should read it because was made on GMAX..., but then explain me why all unitys i find from the EA i can open in RENX and GMAX and why all my mod units my mod mate made i can open wiht the both?

hehe, well in fact i think i'm getting much better at gmax and renx, but now on i will only use renx because always i make a hard work on gmax the gmax don't let me open it wiht renx, but i stil a noob at this modeling thing

hey,
CarmaPlayer easy way to fix this. First open RenX after you have made your object in Gmax.

1) Click File>XrefObjects
after that you should see on the top right hand corner (ADD)
2)Find your gmax model and then open it. A box will pop up and then
make sure you select everything. Then just exit out of Xref objects and your model should be there.
