Default [color=green]Jungle Conflict: The Unoffical Generals Expansi

The new mod i am leading is called CNC Generals: Jungle Conflict. Itll have an all new campaign for all sides. Will have realistic jungle combat, A ingame Skin Changer to customize your forces for the battlefield your fighting on, And one of the most innovative things in this mod will be the reinstatment of POW's and a morale meter that affects your troops fighting abilities. haha, god damn man. I don't think most of the things your listing can be accomplished.

The morale meter itself will be a bitch to do. You have to keep in mind, you can't do a pure code edit of generals, you can only do ini edits, things like adding new units, or weapons. But unless morale was originally coded into the game, then taken out, you're not gonna be able to put it in. Not unless you hack the game itself, and then you won't be able to make your mod public... for legal reasons.

Basically, I already tried it once (morale) and i couldnt do it, but it is all in the process, plus itll be hard, but should it be easy instead??

And also, how would deezire be able to edit the gen abilities menu and options if he didnt hack into the game to do it??

Lol, newb, its called wnd editing, not hacking. So dont be ignorant, HIT THE SEARCH BUTTON!!! Almost none of what you suggest is possible.

So research before you start throwing random ideas into the air..

hey man, if you want, you can try this, but don't come crying to us when you're trying to implement an idea that's impossible.

The morale idea is impossible because nothing anywhere near that is in generals. The only idea anywhere near morale is the horde bonus that china gets, but that can only be accomplished when you have a bunch of units near each other.

The in-game switch skinner would be impossible to, at least to my knowledge, mainly because you can't assign more than one skin to a unit.

And i'm also wondering what exactly you mean by jungle combat.

Basically, This will be like vietnam, where tanks were not as essentiel as infantry, meaning that a tanks best path in this mod would be on the path, not in rugged fighting. The skin changer could just be out of game where the files are included, but optional. And the morale thing would add up victories and defeats, and give your units more or less fighting ability (but it may only be possible if it were an adjoining program *sigh*). I am still going on full on everything cept morale and an ingame skin chander

Gold.... All I will say is this. I find yoru goal VERY lofty but if you have the drive do it. But know that many of use feel that most of what you want to try cant be accomplished due to hard-coding, or simply no coding at all.

I wish you the best of luck in your endevour but also feel you will find much of it if not all of it impossible.
