Default 3D shadows problem

I've added a helicopter to my mod and for some reason when I have the 3D shadows option on Generals won't render shadows for my rotors and project thin lines of shadow from the center of my copter and the tail. Do I need to get rid of a bone or something?

any screenshot or model to try on another install of the game ?

You should have used blending or alpha-test options for the rotors texture... It can alter shadow aspect. You should compare the material parameters of existing helicopters models of the game

You can also check the shadow parameter in FactionUnit.

yeah, quite strange :tard:

Have you re-imported a helicopter W3D model in gmax and compared the settings ?

If you don't mind, send the gmax and W3D (even the INIs if you can). I don't have much experience in c&c editing but perhaps I can help you.

Here's the w3d and its dds files. I haven't tried your solutiion because my INI files some how got corrupted and I'm kinda rebuilding everything. Well anyways feel free to use them for any of your mods just remember to fix it first and please tell me how you did it.

under properties for blades.... paste in
shadow = waas


EDIT: NM, i just noticed you have that in, when i downloaded the file.....hmm

Im thinking it could be the texture you used for your blades... or the actual blades.. :S.. i dont have a clue.

Ill try to fix it, and post the fix up here...
