Default Cameo Stuff

Well I'm trying to add new cameo's and find out what the existing ones are (the names). I've only seen cameo's packed in a few .tga's in the Textures.big files. Are they the only ones? If so, how do I find out what the names for each of them are (as in SUTerrorist)? Does anyone know how to add new ones too?

hey,
WickedBlizzard you have to edit that big TGA File and then make your cameo to fit over the one you are want to change, and then save it into your Generals/art/textures folder, hope this helps!

What I mean isn't changing but adding. And my general question is, does anyone have a list of names for the cameo's, if not, how can I find out what they are named?

you can make your own Im pretty sure find Deezires tutorials and that should help you

You should just create your own big image for putting your cameos in and then add references to your image file in the correct INI file (don't remember the name, just search occurences of currents big TGA images in all the INI files).

You must specify the filename and the coordinates of your cameo in.

Be careful of the image size. THe sizes must be 128,256, 515 or 1024. (less would be too small, more isn't always supported by graphic cards)

extract all files out of the ini.big and look for C:\Program Files\EA GAMES\Command and Conquer Generals\Data\INI\MappedImages\TextureSize_512

then go in and change the
SAUserInterface512.INI
SSUserInterface512.INI
SUUserInterface512.INI files

by adding a new image like

MappedImage SSOmega_L
Texture = SSOmega_L.tga
TextureWidth = 100
TextureHeight = 100
Coords = Left:1 Top:1 Right:99Bottom:99Bottom:99
Status = NONE
End


MappedImage SSOmega
Texture = SSOmega.tga
TextureWidth = 50
TextureHeight = 50
Coords = Left:1 Top:1 Right:49Bottom:49Bottom:49
Status = NONE
End


then make all your images the same size
_L is the portraits at 100x100
and the small ones are 50x50

then you wont need to make a map of all the images saves time

then just put all your images in the art/texture folder

and your done


everynew image you make just add it to the userinterfacelist and presto your done

PS. They dont have to be 128,256,512 none of mine are but they are all square
