well name all housecolor bits HOUSECOLORxx with xx being a 2 digit number
also, make sure all housecolor bits are white so the house color doesnt look wrong (for example mapping a yellow housecolor over a blue skin will give you green!!!
If u want to add texturing to your housecolor area, create a skin for the area you want to map, then convert the image to greyscale before saving as a tga then dds
