Default how do u find coords for making cameos in photoshop 7

im using photoshop 7 (PS7) to make a new TGA file that has all my new cameos in, but the problem is i dont know how to find the coords

coords look like

Coords = Left:1 Top:163 Right:161 Bottom:323

for starters i dont know wht those represent, does left mean top left, bottom left or the middle of the left side? and same question about all the other tags

second of all how do i actually get a thing up in PS7 tht shows me the coords of the place where my mouse is?

Thanks

It's the pixels in those coords, so with Coords = Left:1 Top:163 Right:161 Bottom:323. It would be the 1st pixel on the left, 161 pixels to the right etc...

I work with PSP7 so I can't help you on PS7.

Okay... to find the coords using Photoshop 7 you need to turn on the programs "ruler". Follow this tutorial and I will show you hw to get the coords.

1) Go to "View" and click on "Ruler"
you will see a ruler go around you image.

2) Next right click on the ruler itself... it will then give you options such as;
Pixels
Inches
Centimeters and so on.
SELECT "Pixels"

now your ruler measures in pixels.

You will want to then zoom into around ... oh 1200% or 1600% so you can get a good clear sight on what pixel your image is on. then just plug the coords. into your mappedimages.ini.

Now it wont tell you what the coords is on the mouse you have to look at the image and compare it to the ruler but it still tells you so its all good.

Yeah, I couldn't figure out how to get the coords on photoshop either, there's gotta be a way though. I just ended up using another program for that part.

Hehehe, I stand corrected, go Metal Syren

I had the same problem...but then chrono brought up a good idea, why not just make a new tga identical to one of the existing icon tga files....then just copy their icon ini's and rename things? seems to be a lot less work that way, and turns out just as well

I have one problem.
I can't save alpha-channel using TGA format in Photoshop7. It just save to TGA RGB-channels no matter I select 24 bits or 32 bits when I save it. (It should contain RGBA channels)
what I do wrong?
so I have to save it as DDS and then re-open the DDS then I can work on Alpha-channel.
Have any other ways or Idea?
