Prize question to the INI-Elite...(Superweapon...)
Dear Generals,
we received an emergency call today. A fellow of us is in need of our help, here is the transcripted message :
"USA headquarters, this is General Pain speaking. Since the development of our O.M.E.G.A Blast turned out so well i decided to go one step further. The Blast needs a vast amount of energy to be fired and i was thinking of putting it into the Particle Cannon Uplink as an alternate weapon. So our main problem here is that we have problems putting the right programming in our computer. We want that you can use either the Particle Cannon Uplink or the O.M.E.G.A Blast, but not both together. So if I use the Cannon i want the Omega Blast to be non-functional and vice versa, but we really have a lack of code here. Please send a transcript of this message to the elite coders at Deezire's Forum, i think that they are the only ones who are able to ---contact lost---"
So, please help us if you have any ideas, General Pain needs your support !

Dude, thats just the sadest way to get around asking us for help.. And I have no idea the the hell an O.M.E.G.A Blast is.. and it would be alot easier if you were to post the code to what you've screwed up so maybe we can fix it..---Contact Lost---

I wasn't trying to be harsh, it's just a little lame, when he's obvioulsy askin us to help him with his super weapon.. and sorry if I was harsh.. it's flame day here on the DZ fourms.. guess I got a little carried away.

I understand what you're trying to do. I know it's possible with weapons using the "ShareReload" tag. But seeing as how superweapons aren't really weapons you can't just use the same tags. I'm thinking that you'd probably be forced to make another SW building.

I'll admit, it's a creative way to ask it.
If it's possible, hmmm... If you were to redo the ScudStorm I'd be pretty sure, but the Particle Cannon is a little more complex...
I'd advise using two buildings for the moment, but I'll get back on this.

Hmm.... You might be able to do it with overlord tank style upgrades, with the superweapon code on the objects that get added. If you combine that with the upgrade removing code to remove one upgrade when you add the other you could probably fudge it together..... but that has a whole new set of problems of its own....
I haven't really looked into Generals ini coding all that much, but this might give you a nudge in the right direction
Edit: doing it this way would also allow you to make the particle cannon uplink require more power to charge the omega blast, or have a running cost, etc

Hey Pain only way i know is to have both located at the same building but then you can fire both.
Just like adding Carpet Bombing to the Airfield...

tyr using the america camanche fire rocket pods command attached to the omega blast in the particle cannon command set with the omega blast as the weapon.
1.Make omegablst an upgrade like the comanche rocket pods which means you need to makke upgrade_omegablast in upgrade.ini and command button command_upgradeomegablast in command button.ini
2. attach the upgade to particle cannon building in faction building.ini (dont forget the modueltag for upgrade in engineering.
3.in commandset.ini attach command_fireomegablast to the particle cannon commandset.
if all else fails try to just add the comanche rocket pod upgrades and command set to the particle cannon then change all the stuff from there.
I may not have explained the well so i will do the code when i have it right i will post it.
