Default Adding New Music to a New Faction

Ok...I have the MP3 that I want to play in the background when you use a new faction, but how do I assign it? I tried assigning it in the playertemplate.ini, but I either didn't do it right, or it's in the wrong spot, etc......

You should change it in the Music.ini Haven't tried adding music for a new side but it should follow this format:

MusicTrack Game_USA_01
Filename = USA_01.mp3
End

MusicTrack Game_USA_02
Filename = USA_02.mp3
End

MusicTrack Game_USA_03
Filename = USA_03.mp3
End

MusicTrack Game_USA_04
Filename = USA_04.mp3
End

MusicTrack Game_USA_05
Filename = USA_05.mp3
End

MusicTrack Game_USA_06
Filename = USA_06.mp3
End

MusicTrack Game_USA_07
Filename = USA_07.mp3
End

MusicTrack Game_USA_08
Filename = USA_08.mp3
End

MusicTrack Game_USA_09
Filename = USA_09.mp3
End

I haven't been able to get more than 9 tracks per side to work, so for now ya got 9 tracks to replace/play with.

Ok...I changed the music on the load screen for the new faction....but how do I make it so that the music plays when you're actually playing?

Where do I change/add that parameter?

Add a folder in EA\C&C Gen\Data for Music then put the tracks you're using in there. In the ini, where you see filename, put yours in, should work.

Hmm, maybe that's too brief, you see how I pasted the game tracks for music.ini? These are the ones you want to play with if you're changing the tracks to ones you want to hear while you're playing the game so it'd be something like this:

MusicTrack Game_(insertsidehere)_01
Filename = (whatevernameofmp3you'reusinghere).mp3
End

Without the ()'s of course

Hmm...ok, I follow what you're saying...and I did that.

For some reason it's still silent though. Do you think I'm missing a side entry somewhere in a different ini?

That's the only guess I have it that it's not recognizing it.

Ahhh...I just reread and saw that you hadn't done if for a new side. Damn. There has to be a link somewhere to edit that.

Hi, If you want your music to be play in a skirmish game then I think you must add a script for each song, in the Generals Worldbuilder.

Alright. I"ll try that...

I have a new problem now though.....now none of the game music plays!

I'm not sure what's causing it. I deleted the music.ini file from my data folder and it still doesn't work.

Keep in mind that I haven't altered or renamed any original music files at all, just tried to add new ones. Ideas, anyone?
