I've noticed that as well.... It seems like all mods have just stagnated for like the past 2 weeks. The forums here as well in the past few days has been having a lot of probs. WickedBlizzard can't get into the site at all, MetalSyren lost his pw, said forum auto sent it but last I recall he never got it and it's wiped my auto login twice already. It's a little too quiet.....

BTW, finally added a sig here, as you can see below Hope it's not too big.

I dunno I think there has been a worldwide poopoo on the net (Man this no bad language thing anymore or I get banned sucks).

I know Kyp you were telling me MANY were having trouble just getting on Deezire let alone other sites.

I think it is a sign of things to come.

I think it is the combination of people having less time lately (i paused work on Fallout for a month till the ned of my finals)
That, combined with the excessively stupid amounts of flaming has just fucked everything up
hell, im now scared to even voice my opinion as i might get "banned", and then certain people might tell other sites to disregard my mod (i dont think that will happen I have a massive base of followers)
People here need to lighten up.
Sure the crap between MS and CH earlier was blown out of proportion, but using a facist style of making people not post half their stuff on fear of getting "banned" can only degrade these forums and the community.

I dont agree with flaming but I think people should voice their opinion once, then keep it to PM's.
And I guess your right, everybody is tied up with exams, uni work etc just now. Cant wait for the Summer Holidays....

So very busy...

Everything comes in floods One day I have time to do nothing, then within a week my schedule is destroyed and I'm digging to find enough time to make small updates on things like that Mech WIP thread.

I'm hoping that thing will calm down on my end over the next week or so.. but who knows...

So far as finals go I know a lot fo people have been going through those so I blame them for most people... that nad the general forum downtime, but that won't be a big deal oncepeople come back and start seeing teh forums are up consistantly.

SO far as not expressing opinions. If you can't express your opinion in an intelligent manner and it gets interrpreted as a distasteful flame, then tough nuts.

I think any good moderator will give people who offend the forum rules enough time to work on a better attitude. As long you show the determination of improving your personal conduct, I don't believe you'll be banned. If however you persist then I’m sure you'll bump into Deez or Redemptions "ban button" sooner or later.

As for cataloguing the more strict rules of conduct as being "fascist", know that it is the reaction upon anarchy and chaos of the past weeks. If people had more self-discipline, there would be no need to put on the thumbscrews...
If you behave like children, you shall be treated as such...

As far as your remarks on the quality of forums and the community:
Everything is a fine balance between rules and freedom. Too much freedom with too little rules leads to anarchy, but the opposite is not desirable either as freedom of speech is essential to improve things.

The bottom line is that you should be able to voice your opinions but with respect to others and with the appropriated language.

Thanks flyby, you nailed it right on the head. Everyone is more than free to voice their opinion not only do we allow it we encourage it. However Deezire has always been a familly oriented site and plain and simply foul language is one of the few reason I would consider banning anyone. We are not trigger happy and for the most part allow discussions until they start to degrade to the name calling. I honestly cannot see myself recurring to foul language simply to make a point, I can get the same point across without doing so.

I have seen many forums ran down because of this type of behavior. We have some basic rules and all we ask is that you respect and adhere to them. In time you will find that we are here to help and I cannot think of the las time I banned anyone and the times that I have done so the members have had a couple warnings prior to being escorted out the door.

Amethyst template was not included in the new release of phpnuke. I would suggest everyone for the time being to use the dz template. I can chage the template for him.
