Default Help me I'm new and have no idea!

I'm new to mod making. I have never made one or attempted to make one, but because generals is such a cool game I want to have a try.
I have no idea where to start what i need and how to use it. SO i was just wondering if someone could help.

Best way to start is to go through the tutorials hosted on this forum, and check out one about adding a unit on cnc universe. Start out small and simple with something really easy to do and work your way up. Read the sticky posts at the top of this forum, they're important as well. Just play around with the ini's and see what you can do, worst case scenario that dreaded error window pops up, generals doesn't start and you try to figure out where you messed up

well you could also get some first-hand experience by working on somebody else's mod to learn how.... saaay mine for example , and once you know how then you could start on your own mod.

beh, those did nothing for me....the quickest way to learn how to mod edit is to follow these instructions...

-find someone who can mod edit
-kill them
-eat their brains raw(while still warm)
-you know have the knowledge of how to mod edit...although crave human flesh
-to solve that problem, eat babies every once and a while....works for me...

lol,
short of eating brains, the best way to learn is take some time to play around with the ini files. Slowly but surely you'll get a grasp of how the module tags work. So, i'd say, just look in the ini's and most of the stuff isn't that hard if you think. And learning throguh do-ing is the best way to learn
