Default Where did the bones go.....?

I'm making an MLRS. I made the model, skinned it, divided the geometry into CHASSIS and HOUSECOLOR01-04 (I don't want the turret to spin). I created the CHASSIS bone (using "helpers" -> "dummy)", the HOUSECOLOR bones, and TURRETMS01-06. I put them in there places (the TURRETMS's being the fire points) I linked the HOUSECOLORs and CHASSIS bones and geometry correctly, and then I linked all the TURRETMS bones to the CHASSIS bone. I exported to W3D, and then used the W3D -> GMAX importer to check and make sure the bones were in the right places and everything was correct. Everything was correct, except the TURRETMS bones weren't even there. Its like I never made em.

I'm not sure what's wrong, and I can bone stuff fine usually, so this has me stumped.

Thanks

Um, bones automatically become invisble when exported dont they?

Did you export as geometry? If not that ex[plains the invisibleness.

no cuz other bones show up fine. And I don't mean ingame, I mean using the W3D -> RenX importer, so it shows the bones fine

ugh..I already tried that a bunch of times before I asked here. I try to avoid doing like n00bs do, just try once and then ask on Deezire. I try until I'm completely out of options and ideas, and then ask for help.

Instead of using dummy object use spheres, 1 segment spheres. Then select all your bones and uncheck the export gemetery from the w3d tools section. I always used spheres as my bones in my models and they seem to hold just fine. The Dummy objects might not show up cos when u export to w3d I not sure the format retains them. Dunno for sure but just use the spheres as your dummy objects and see how you go.
