I just installed GMax yesterday, and when it asked me which 3D hardware/driver (what ever), it wanted me to use I clicked the wrong one, and pressed OK, is there anyway to change it? I reinstalled it and it didnt ask me again, do I have to re-download it, or am i screwed?

BTW, were do i download RenX?I'd like to give it a try.

Actually, I believe it asks you again the first time you open RenX, so you should be fine there. Get it at ftp://ftp.westwood.com/pub/renegade/...Installer2.exe

Oh and by the way, if you have the same trouble with RenX:
It's just a guess, but if you completely uninstalled Gmax and deleted the directory before reinstalling, it's likely that the information on what driver you chose is stored in the registry. Shouldn't be too hard to find.

Once you get RenX, I'd suggest just running it. It's just Gmax with more features. Plus, once you set your driver preference it could carry over to Gmax as well.

2 fix this right click the shortcut on ur desktop and select properties and on the target line put a space then -W then boot up gmax renx or 3dsmax after u fix this just delete the -W from the shortcut

thanks guys, i got RenX and got rid of GMax, there pretty much the same thing, and i can get plug ins now, so im good, thanks.

You can change the hardware/software driver on startup if you place -h after gmax.exe in your "run" menu...
