Buy a better computer...
or get XCC Mixer, works great, and it will definitely work on whatever you have, I have it runnin on our 233 mhz laptop with 32mb of ram, and you can extract all the files you want.

i got a xcc mixer by olaf van der spec but it don work i don hav any csx files

Do you have version 1.23, that is what you use to open the big files, and CSF files are the language files, they provide the strings for the game. You need XCC 1.23 for Generals though.

i got it specifically for generals tho so i hav 1.23 or whatever u said

but i cant open and copy
i tried opening up memory for comp so i can but notin works

I have no idea what your problem is then. You should be able to extract or copy the files. They would go to wherever you installed XCC, so that shouldn't be a problem. Other than that I have no idea at all.
