I know with the whole terrorist thing and 9-11 that is could have the potential of being a BAD idea so I will test it here with a poll.

I am just tossing losta ideas around and was thinking of making a GLA unit called the "Matyr" (for the lack of a better name) who will be a buildable aircraft unit most likely a plane. In game you would build him and fly him to a location and have him attack a structure by flying into it and destroying himself (basically the demo truck but in the air.

What do you guys think?

IMO this is a pretty good idea, after all GLA use toxins and antthrax which may be more offensive than a suicide plane. Just change the name and this flying missile would be fine

I had a similar ideato that, i wanted to make a GLA superweapon where the B52 flies into the targetted area, causing large damage to the area. Maybe a little more controversial than your idea. It was relatively easy to code, but Im not sure if i should include it as some people maybe offended by it.

The thing is, Generals is not exactly a politically correct game, the terrorists and bomb trucks are sensitive issues to many people anyway, so it maybe acceptable to include it. The fact that maybe the majority of Generals players are American may affect your decision too... seeing suicide planes in generals would probably have more of an effect than seeing terrorists on the majority of players as they would relate to september 11 better than to events in the middle east...

There isnt really an easy answer, but I would say if it looks good and plays well, then use it, you arent forcing people to play your mod, its there choice if they wish to be offended or not.

Well I am bouncing with either the C-130 Cargo plane.... or a smaller cessna type. Obviously the larger plane does more damage and will cost more.

hey man you soo stole my damn idea for gla's airfield one of the units was to be a suicide plane that is stocked with explosives and it can fly and than crash into a posistion or building/unit decimating it.

LtZack, we all came up with that idea as it's so obvious and you're not the first one that came up with it to be honest, there are loads of people and it's quite gibberish of putting something obvious up as your idea. Just my two cents.

I think that actually using this is really disrespectful to all the people that died or who were effect by 9/11. I think that it's totally out of line putting this in a mod, and it shows that you obviously have no respect for any of those people. BE ASHAMED. You disgust me.
