game mismatch
i dont know, but i've got a very strong feeling for me the problem is that my processor is a p133mhz overclocked to 1ghz, what do u think?
why do i think so? coz before i changed the motherboard, even though i was on an athlon 500mhz, i could still play online, save the lag. now, i cant play A SINGLE game, not even on LAN, i dont have mods, and i havent modded yet, so i dont know what the problem is.

Re: game mismatch
Godwin,
I'm pretty sure this is not the case , but as it sounds you're having a hardware and/or software conflict going.
Hard to tell anything if you're not more detailed about your system specs...

heheh.. he did say it gives him the FEELING it runs like a P133.
What can happen is that your chip is running UNDERclocked because of a wrong FSB setting in your bios..
But then again there are so many reasons why a system may run slower...hardware conflict or conflicting drivers are usually the main reason. Some MB don't like sharing for exemple, but that depends from brand to brand...hard to tell if I don't have the system infront of me..

A P133 Mhz can't be overclocked to 1 Ghz, the chip would just evaporate...
Anyways, what for motherboard are you using now?

Your systems just locks up when you overclock too much, or in worst case, corrupts your HD...
I've done a lot of oveclocking but safty comes first, so I hardly overclock more then 10%...

I do not even overclocked anymore, I have a pile of computers on my basement "Expoeriments" After a while you realize that is better to have a stable system lol. The last two systems I had I did not touch, altough I must admit that ?I enjoyed pushing the system to the limit
Godwin th best overclocking speed I heard off whas from a celeronn 300 overclock to 700 stable. If you are running a 133 to 1000 ou should send that machince to the smithsonian or something lol
