Default A weird icon problem I ran into.

I ran into a weird problem today while making some temp icons for Blitz2. I have made plenty of other normal unit icons for the game...and they turned out perfect. Anyways, I ran into the problem while working on the ssuserinterface512_001.tga.



I have no idea why it is doing that, I didn't edit the icon ini's or anything...I just placed these over the normal icons and replaced them. Hell to be sure it wasn't a size thing, I even made it so that it is surrounded by a transparent white.

My advice would be to redo the entire INI, and double check the SSUInterface.

You were a little vague, so that's just general advice. Of course I can't think of any way to be more specific.....

Heh, what I did was simple...I just put the new images in the place of the old ones, and it gave me *points up* that image.

I'm not sure what could be causing it either smurf, but I've had similar probs.

I've had a cameo suddenly switch from how it's supposed to look one game to totally jumbled another game, when neither the file or the ini were changed.

just make sure that the images that you place before the old ssuserinterface512_001.tga have the same size. just an advice..

what do you mean? any images I added to that? or the ones I put on other tga's too?

Here's my guess: Your tga is not the right size! It's only 510x492 whereas it should be 512x512. You deleted the black parts at the bottom and on the right side of the original, right? Even though this doesn't (or at least shouldn't) affect the coordinates as defined in SSUserInterface512.ini I strongly suggest to try it again with a 512x512 version of your tga. (You could also try changing all TextureWidth-values to 510 and all TexzureHeight-values to 492 in the ini, but...)

ah, thats it! turns out when i copied over the stuff on the tga, it left out some of the blank area......which screwed things up
