Default Superweapon blast sizes

Is it possible to alter the size of the animation of superweapon explosions (EMP, nuke blast, etc.) as I would like to make a EMP cannon like the one in TibSun but the EMP blast radius is too large to be a balanced base defence weapon. Making the b;ast radius smaller without making the animation smaller would look a little....odd.

hmmm.. sometimes i wonder how people search...
It took me less then 5 mins to trace all the EMP effects/objects to the final reference:

It 's in the "system.ini" (EMPPulseEffectSpheroid) and the growing sphere is actually an animated spherical object that can be found under the name "EXEMPSphere.W3D" in your W3D folder...

Sorry if it was a fairly obvious question but I only got the game last week so I am incredibly new at modding and have no idea how to do it....yet

How do you change the size of the nuke/nukes animation, then?

well, I was thinking maybe just having a small animation where ground zero is...then just have a massive white flash, and when it comes to, things are just blown to hell(none of that ground radiation shit)

That would be another proof of what is really the problem with the Generals performance : Alpha channels bog down the game....
