BATTLEMECH MOD
I'm working on a new mod called BATTLEMECH MOD w/c adds 2 mech robots for each side. It's still in TESTING stage. The problem is "I CAN'T MAKE THE MECH WALK"! The mech can turn though but i can't make the legs walk?
I tried to animate a "walking model" but it still doesn't walk ingame. I checked the W3d's of infantries, but its so hard to understand.
PLEASE HELP....
Attached are the pictures of the mech.

its an easy one, sort of. If you look at any vehicle with wheels, you will know that it plays an animation when it moves, this is what you need to look at, and try starting by looking at the art section of the UC con dozer, if it isnt there, look int the locomotor section.

I checked the tanks factionunit files and it doesn't have any wheel animation, it just leave some track marks ingame. Anyway, ill try to check all the land vehicles if they have any "MOVING ANIMATION", esp. the dozer.
thanks.

I personally think mechs are retarded, but the general opinion seems to be otherwise.
As for making mechs walk, go to blitzkrieg (I forget the URL, just find a post by smurfbizkit and click his sig) and click on tutorials -> rigging the titan

Yeah, could you please give us some reasoning on your 'mechs are retarded' train of thought?

good luck with that. I tried to make from scratch jets, and it is freaking hard. I ended up just editting the pre release raptor a ton, so it looks new. Of course, this is only for realistic looking jets, I've never tried making futuristic ones....I imagine that's easier, as you have more freedom
