i have done lots of them so called crappy edit mods. all i am trying to say in this post is that what my next mod will be so no one other than does it.
Man just focus on one mod, Fallout has taken me a solid 6 months so far and I have only completed 2 of the sides (USA and Australia), you will lose motivation, as I have done many times with Fallout, and a know for sure that once I finish Fallout, apart from some patches and stuff, I will wait till the next CNC to mod again.
I've lost motivation to mod a few times as well, but then I watch a movie or show or something about war, and I think "That would be so cool in Generals!", and get back to modding.
As your idea cant be copyrighted you cant say "its mine, you cant have it" ( Like a 5 year old ). You can only hope that your attempt is better than what anyone else does.
If I was going to do what your doing with all your ideas, the CNC community would not be able to do anything much at all because I would've laid claim to all the ideas and they would be screwed.
Its like Microsoft going "you cant make an OS because we did it first", not going to happen, all they can do is make a better one than anyone else has.
