Default Fallout Progress Update

Hey all,
I know I havent been spending much time here as of late but I have decided to show u all some of the new stuff from the US side from Fallout.

Navarone Truck
The Navarone truck is one of the most versatile units the US has. Standing alone, the truck is moderately armoured and has an inbuilt short-range stealth detector. 1 of 4 upgrades can then be bought for it to increase it's abilities. These are:
MLRS - Launches long range surface to surface rockets
Patriot Missile - Launches Patriot missiles at Aircraft and Ballistic missiles
MRJ - When positioned near an enemy base, this upgrade allows the truck to shut down the enemy radar, allowing you to make a sneak attack
Transport - Allows you to use the truck to transport up to 10 infantry into battle



Minuteman III Nuclear ICBM

This ICBM is armed with a 50 kilaton Nuclear Warhead, capable of wiping over a screen of stuff of the map. While not as deadly as the Antimatter Cannon, the 5:00 recharge time makes in incredibly lethal



Liberty Class Siege Crawler

One of the most deadly pieces of weaponry the US has, the size of this unit made in unsuitable to be a standard treaded vehicle.
The Siege Crawler is a slow moving, 4 legged mechanized Walker, towering over all on the battlefield. It is armament consists with twin 225mm guns, capable of firing HEAT, Concussion and Smoke Rounds.
In addition, an anti-air defensive system can be fitted onto the back of the mech.



M109A6 Paladin Self-Propelled Howitzer

The M109A6 is America's standard artillery, its speed is much faster than that of other artillery and it is moderately armoured, allowing its use as a shoot-and-scoot weapon.
It is armed with a 155mm cannon and can hit targets at long distance. It is capable of firing High-Explosive, SADARM and Smoke rounds.
In addition the Paladin is fitted with an Advanced Field Artillery Tactical Data System (AFADTS) allowing the M109A6 to relay the position of an ememy to other Paladins in the area, extending their range.



Credit goes to tor3203 for the M1A2 Abrams model, good job!

Finally, I have added a Negotiator Unit Analysis over at the Official Fallout Website which gives historical and statistical information on the unit, as well as strategies for Attacking with and Defending against the unit.

That is about it, but release isn't too far off, I promise.

Very good. While I prefer two-legged mechs myself (something like Battletech's Timber Wolf preferably), that liberty siege crawler is good as well. I do have a couple of questions about the mod, though...

(1) Originally you were thinking about making all vehicles have a limited ammo load, thus making them need to return to base to reload or find an ammo truck/resupply unit. Is this still the case?

(2) I'm a great fan of heavy armour. Will each side have two main battle tanks as they do in normal Generals, or just the one (Stealth tanks for Australia, yeah! We are supposed to be the 'clever country' after all!)?

(3) What kind of static defences will there be for each side?

i can't wait for fallout. it'll be nice to see australia added to a game. (other then my mod )
