Default is it possible to make infantry walk through shallow water?

i havent looked into it yet, but i am wondering if any of you guys have. in my mod, i think that shallow streams will add alot of depth into the jungle atmosphere. is it possible to have infantry dredge through rivers?

it all depends if there is 2 differant water "types"

as far as I know there is only the 1 water thing for a locomoter, so i dont think its possible, unless your infantry go across the lakes too :P

of course, when they go through water, they would have to slow down.

Did any one here played Rise Of Nation? As I played it, i noticed that the workers are automatically using a boat when traveling in the other side of the map and the tanks are using Landing Craft to cross sea. If you think this idea is good I can make this possible in C&C Generals.. Imagine when tanks crosses through sea it changes into Hovercraft ...

that might work, but i don't think infantry going in landingcraft up a stream would look right.

Cool! I'll try that game Cold!
Anyway, tanka, I remember back then that someone posted a thread like an infantry can walk through water then submerge at the bottom, try searching this forum, I'll also look, might give us some ideas though

i'm not an expert at coding or anything, but are impassible areas hardcoded? (eg cliffs) because if they arent, it could be possible to make infantry be able to walk through heights of around -3, which would mean they would be walking through shallow water.

i think i'll check out the burton code.
