Default Gmax problem

I am trying to make a model of the GDI Disrupter tank from TS but I have a problem with the turret. I can't work out how to make it a 'smooth' curve so at the moment it's just three boxes. Is there another way to do it?

Umm, yes, "select all" then "delete", that looks wayyyyyyy to high poly.

Start with simple objects and try keep them that way.

I have something looking like your thats only 180 Polys. I'll post a screenshot once I get GMax to stop paying silly games.

Now with 218 polys,

Using this as a guide

That leaves me plently to spare to do some detailing.

No smoothing applied, no poly's hidden away. Optimised well, now I can think about some detailing or remodeling sections to look closer to the source art.

It looks too tall, I remember Disruptor as looking a lot like the hovercraft MLRS thingy. (can't rember the name)

The beauty of 3d is I can change dimensions with a few quick tweaks.

I was using the Art Image I've linked to in my above post as a guide and not what was in the game. The detail sort've lacked in the ingame model.
