I'm using GF2pro

When i first got Generals i had a GF264mb. The water looked shite. Utters hte. I couldnt believe how much EALA ripped us off with the water, considering the screenshots of reflective surfaces and stuff. Then i got my GFX a few months ago and Generals works great, and the water looks nice and sparkly. Still not as nice as it was originally gonna be, but looking like water anyway.

And i run the game on low, it runs alot faster and you see all the particle effects and everything. Its weird. Put it on high and hte only benefit is slow down and high res textures. No smoke no tomahawk trails, no water effects no bullet flames etc... Whenever infantry are flamed, they burn properly on low. On high they just dance and die.

So either higher end new DX9 capable cards see things in Generals better than older cards, or.....dunno. I thought it was after the patches myself, now i realise.

I'm using a Creative Geforce 4 4600 with 128MB and the newest nVidia Drivers! Just enable High Details in Generals and set the DirectX Driver Options also to high!

Here's a screenshot for the Geforce MX/MX 400 for example!
