[Redemption]

Hi all,

I am making this post on my own. I did not consult Deezire about the contents of my message.

As most of you know I have been a proud supporter of DeeZire and his mod, I have supported the site by donating my free time and by securing web space for the domain. Unfortunately due to some changes "moved from one state to another" I am no longer able to afford the cost of the server, I know Deezire has never asked for anything and I also know that he has always made a point of the mod being free as well as the support.

As honorable as his intentions are the truth is that it is not cheap to run a site, in our case we pay $140.00 us for the server. This site eats up tons of bandwidth and it is not feasible to simply buy services from a cheap hosting company as they would kill us on charges to the bandwidth consumption.

With this said, I would like to ask you guys for your support. Anything you can donate will be used strictly to pay for the server. We have a donation page here http://www.deezire.net/modules.php?name=Support_Us there is more than one way for you to help us, of course the proffered method is donation trough paypal gogirl@deezire.net we also offer some cheap web hosting and we where hoping that we could sell enough space to pay for server. If you are in need of we space and willing to pay reasonable rates then please contact me redemption@deezire.net

Unfortunately this is the last month that I am able to pay for the site on my own, although I am certain that DZ will secure temporary space somewhere, I think that the sites growth could be hindered by getting a account somewhere rather than owning its own server.

If you ever wanted to donate then NOW is the time. Please note once again that this post comes without consulting DZ and he might get mad at me for reaching to the community as he has never wanted to make a penny for the work and time he devotes to provide all of us enjoyable mods.

For those of you currently buying web space, I submitted refunds for this month. For those of you with a DZ subdomain, I apologize in advanced for this inconvenience. This is something that I had not foreseen months ago when we got the server, I have a family to feed and the area we relocated to is much more expensive that where we where at before. Sorry and if there is anything I can do to help you guys move then drop me a email and I will try to help where I can.

If we can raise enough cash we will be here a while longer, other wise my last payment to the server company is today so you have a month to find a new home. I am so sorry...

This is most unfourtunate I'll try my best to get the news out and post it on CnCMatrix.com and if I can get a cnccommunity.net posting right I will post there as well. This comes as a shock DZ is one of the most talented modders I've seen if not THE most talented modder. He is also willing to share techniques and files and help new modders (he has helped me many times) and I'm sure he will be able to obtain temporary webspace somewhere else. I'm sorry, but RL circumstances prevent my from donating. Anyone who donates please post here as MAYBE just maybe I can get some kind of prize thing going and I'm sure everyone wants to see dz.net stay alive. I'm not making any promises, but Second Wave has recenlty had a contest to look for new Second Wave beta testers (the contest is still going on at our forums) and maybe when Malc returns I can ask him if the people who donated can be given a beta testing position. I know its not a lot, but if I can help in any way. Again, this is not definite and I will have to ask Malc, CnCMatrix.com owner and Second Wave mod leader when he returns from vacation on the 13th.
