Hi,
I know this has been mentioned in the past, but what do you think? I mean there isnt really anyone (except peiten :lol: ) who doest have something to offer. And EVERYONE has great ideas so why dont we put them all together and all help contribute to a huge mod/TC?

I would like that. Theres already a community mod sort of thing started a cncmatrix.com, but it has a fixed story line about the somalia conflict I have some units that I coded and that were modelled by NoisyMonk of World Crisis. We were gonna do a mod, but it died. Anyways, heres a pic,
. This could be used in the community mod. So, theres a start and heres a basic description about each unit.

Alien Cyborg Drone Nest
The Drone Nest is the hive mind of the Attack Drones. It emits a signal that controls the drones in proximity to it with a maximum of four drones. If a drone is destroyed it will attempt to rebuild it. If destroyed the drones that it controls will deactivate. When the drone lacks a signal it will self destruct in order to prevent enemies from stealing the technology.

Alien Cyborg Attack Drone
The Drone must be near a Drone Nest to stay active. These primitive cybornetic aliens will shoot a high powered laser beam at any unidentified moving objects near by. The laser they shoot can easily penetrate the armor of any light vehicle and if hit enough will overheat a tank and cause its ordinance and engine to explode.

Alien Cyborg X-300 Crusher
The X-300, also known as the Crusher, is moved by several small spikes that dig into the earth below and pull the vehicle along. These spikes can also be used to pierce through and crush enemy armor, thus the X-300's name, Crusher. This alien cyborg is armed with one 105mm cannon on the right and two high powered lasers on the left that can easily eat through light armor. Due to the Crusher's "unique" design a humans first reaction on an encounter with this deadly beast is to retreat and quickly.

Human AA Gun
This stationary anti-aircraft gun has twin 30mm cannons. The gun emplacement's unique design allows it to easily track any fast moving aircraft. The gun despenses the 30mm rounds at 600 RPM which allows it to shred aircraft, infantry and light vehicles to bits.

Human M5A3 Eradicator Hover Tank
This amphibious tank is propelled by four anti-gravitational devices at the four corners of the tanks chassis. This allows the M5 to hover quickly over harsh terrain and large bodies of water. The Eradicator's main gun is a 125mm cannon. The cannon can fire SABOT and HEAT rounds. This allows the M5 to make quick work of enemy tanks and light vehicles. The turret is a special design that absorbs explosions and prevents the ordinance from exploding. The M5A3 also has a 20mm chaingun on each side of the tank's chassis that can quickly mow down groups of enemy soldiers.

Human Flamethrower Turret
This gun emplacement sends searing hot flames accross an incredible distance to fry approaching infantry. The flame is so hot it will even destroy enemy light vehicles and tanks. The external fuel tanks are attached to the back of the turret so they will never be facing the enemy units, but if the flamethrower turret is destroyed the fuel tanks will explode and damage nearby buildings and units.

I made another unit. This is the first time I've completely made a new unit on my own from scratch. I modelled it, animated it, boned it and coded it (no skin yet, cause I cant do that :P). Its a rocket launching apc. It has a MRLS like turret on top that swivles around and tilts back 20 degress to fire (which looks pretty cool ). It also transports five infantry. Theres an animation where the door on the back comes down to let the infantry out :P It launches 4 rockets from two ports (total of eight rockets) and then has to reload. The model is really basic cause its my first ever model so be gentle :P I know its basic and it sits low on the ground (I haven't actually modelled tracks yet :P). Those little bits on the side and the little circle on top are house colors (i just happened to be blue and the chassis's color is blue). The poly count so far is only 233 so you can build a bigallion of them on a 486 :lol: Heres a bunch of pics of it merged together.

And heres a little description of it I made:

Human Armored Personal Carrier w/ MRLS
This heavily armored personal carrier can hold up to five infantry and cross some pretty harsh terrain. The APC is also equipped with a small multiple rocket launching system device. The MRLS can launch eight rockets, two at a time before having to reload and the crew inside the APC is able to reload without leaving the APC and are able to do so quickly. In order to maintain this ability the APC's specially designed MRLS unit doesn't pack the punch or have the range of a typical MRLS, but its more than enough to defend this infantry transport.

I added tracks (crappy ones though ) and antenae (I like them ) to the model. The antenae are 2-sided. The poly count is now 269 (still very low). I also took the pic with orange color so you could see the house color bits better. Heres the pic:

Why Not Make the mod a TC to Tiberian Sun: Firestorm? Some one already cracked the problem of subteranean units, I think his name was GideonX. We could make the singleplayer missions as well that are in Firestorm. Heck, can you imagine a 3D Core Defender, or Firestorm Walls. I would love to make maps if I knew how to use WB.
