Default Help with 3dsmax 5

I imported a w3d model, and as seen in the picture its a plane with a rotor in the front, how can I make this rotor transparent so only the black parts are visible? So it won't be a grey area around the blades..

Well, I don't know how to make things use alpha blending in gmax so this is how I would do it. Scrap that whole thing and actually model on the three parts of the propeller then make an animation for it spinning. And it code just make it play when the plane moves. BTW is this for any certain mod?

Yea its for my mod War of the Generals.. I'v been quite quiet about the mod and will contnue to be so until beta testing starts

And this if for the cameo, I can alpha blend the model in RenX (gmax), but I want to make a cameo of it, and therefor needs it to be transparent in 3ds max 5..

If you actually paid for your copy of 3DSMax or found a decent download then you should have some tutorials and even a help function.

Ok, I'm sorry I tried to get some help.. I'll read the help files then, wait do I have thoose? Weird huh?

I just thought that someone had done this and it would save some time, but oh well look at what I got from being lazy .. Thanks for the coughs though!

I'm sorry but this model is exclusive to my mod, which will be announced this month sometime..
