Default Problem with a new weapon

I am trying to create a superweapon based on a cross between the scud storm and the particle cannon. It is low powered, basically designed to kill units and defenses, not large buildings (ie, anything larger than barracks.) I can't get it to work. I can't find a weapons entry for the particle cannon and even if i use the particle beam remnant (or whatever its called) it still does not show up after it is fired, it just showes me an area but does no damage and no fx appear on the screen. I have tried using the scud storm as a base but why will it not work?

Or any ideas how to do it or what i have totally missed.

First off the weapon part is in the buildings code. Second off you need a new building for it, new command set, and a new command button for it. Although I'm not sure how to make it so it's a cross between the particle cannon and scud storm.

How exactly do you combine the Scud Storm and PUC into one weapon? Missiles that shoot lasers? Lasers that guide missiles? Missiles that shoot lasers that guide missiles?

No.What I was after was a SW that created multiple particle beams (like the scudstorm does with missiles) but that lasted less time and are less damaging and do not leave toxin/anthrax but the fire like a particle uplink cannon does.

you need to set somethings in the command center (or where ever its launched from), you need to change where the weapon appears, i had something that did what you described, and its because it was set to spawn the weapon at ground height, so it did nothing
