Default Now you see it, now you don't

So I made a new unit and such, long story short the model didn't show up ingame for some reason. I fiddled here and there and couldn't find the answer straight away so I decided to throw another model in in its place, just to see what was up and that model displayed perfectly. What up with that?

I encountered the same problem before when i was making jet. I only see the jetexhaust and smoke. Try to check if you skinned it properly and view it in W3D viewer and check if you placed the new skin and model in the right directory. Skin goes to Art/Texture while Model goes to Art/W3D.

I encountered the same problem with a mech. I had all the models and skin files in the right directories and I never renamed the w3d after exporting it. Still, it was invisible. I've added replacements models (coding and modelling) many times, but this one wont work

Well I got it to work actually. Funny thing, all I did was export it again and it worked. But now I have another oddity on my hands...the barrel recoils sideways when it fires instead of back. Anyone for that one?
